An award-winning urban equipment project, the Inframoura recycling system is the result of an intensive research and development process designed to interact directly with the social fabric of the city. Developed to reshape public perceptions of waste management and environmental stewardship, the system leverages human-centric design to foster active civic participation in recycling routines.

The design language replaces conventional, utilitarian waste receptacles with friendly, organic urban objects. Characterized by smooth, perfectly spherical white volumes, the modules feature distinct color-coded apertures—blue, yellow, green, and black—designed for intuitive material sorting. Scattered individually or deployed in strategic collective clusters across the urban landscape, these approachable physical presences soften the industrial nature of waste collection while enhancing the public realm.

By transforming functional urban infrastructure into a memorable narrative experience, the intervention redefines the relationship between citizens and their local environment. Designed to protect the ecosystem while seamlessly integrating into everyday streetscapes, the system stands as a catalyst for behavioral change—demonstrating how a compelling design idea can peacefully invade the urban fabric and permanently transform civic habits.
