Francisco Salgado Ré was invited to participate in the inaugural edition of Mostra Poster, an open-air public art and design exhibition held in the Marvila and Xabregas districts of Lisbon. The festival uses the urban streetscape as an accessible gallery, exploring the poster format as a historic medium bridging visual art, literature, and public dialogue.
For this edition, Francisco Salgado Ré developed the poster titled “as paredes têm ouvidos” (walls have ears), inviting writer Gonçalo M. Tavares and photographer Sara Branco to collaborate on the project. The resulting piece intersects spatial thought, photography, and literature, converting the physical wall into an active surface of narrative and sensory perception.
The curated lineup for the first edition featured a multidisciplinary selection of national and international artists, writers, and designers, including Afonso Cruz, José Luís Peixoto, Valter Hugo Mãe, Wasted Rita, The Legendary Tigerman, R2 Design, Pedro Campos Costa, and Artéria.
